5K International TrailBall Speed Challenge

The challenge was issued late in October by Paul Beales, TrailBall’s first ambassador in England. In fact, this was the inaugural event for our young sport in England!  We used the occasion to launch the English version of trailball.net.

The French A Team, (RunHappy FR, Sergio, Vincent), win the first 5K International TrailBall Speed Challenge.

The second-place team, England A Team, (Ian Hicks, Stephen Richards, Rik Vanhoutteghem and Nick Goddard) came in LESS THAN TEN SECONDS LATER, showcasing the athletic qualities of the english team, and underlining the high performance level of the world’s best TrailBall players.

As a result, the members of both teams are officially recognized as being a part of the fastest teams in their respective countries.  An official top performance chart will be put into place soon.

We congratulate all of players for their athletic efforts, and look forward to new challenges, with even more TrailBall teams!

Methodology: The reference speed is calculated from the GPX file, according to the real distance run (which can differ from the official distance). This results in the actual results for each team. Next, this reference speed is applied to the official distance, which allows the official results to be calculated for each team.
